Most passengers have no idea what happens in the 20-30 minutes before their ride. They see a clean car, a smiling driver and cool water in the holder. But before you see it — someone must have prepared it. That's exactly what.
Technical part — vehicle
1. Fuel level or battery charge
We always fill the fuel tank fully before placing an order, not "as much as needed". We charge the BMW iX overnight in advance to have 100% for the working day. No customer should see the reserve light.
2. Tire pressure and tread condition
Weekly inspection, always before longer routes. With temperature changes of more than 10°C, the pressure can drop by 0.2 bar — enough to change the driving characteristics.
3. Windshield washer fluid
Cliché? Maybe. But a dirty windshield with the sun at an angle is a real safety hazard and a reason why your passenger won't come back.
4. Outdoor lighting
All lights — dipped, side, tail, fog. Burnt out bulbs are a fine and an image problem.
5. External cleanliness
Washing the car each time after the order, and before the order — checking spare wheels, sill strip, windows. Rain drops from the previous day on the bodywork are unacceptable.
Comfort area — interior
6. Vacuuming carpets and upholstery
Even if the previous passenger was exemplary — a hair, a thread, a speck of dust. An electric vacuum cleaner is standard in every depot.
7. Cabin temperature
In winter: preheating 10 minutes before passenger arrival. In summer: air conditioning set to 22°C and the cabin cooled. Getting into a hot car in July or an icy one in December is a mistake we remember for a long time.
8. Still mineral water
Cooled to 8-10°C, in the holder or storage compartment next to the passenger seat. The brand is always the same — a constant standard, not a coincidence.
9. The smell in the cabin
No perfumes, no fragrances with the tree. Neutral, clean fragrance. A driver who smells strongly of deodorant can be as unpleasant for a passenger as a dirty car.
10. Chargers and cables
USB-A, USB-C, MagSafe for iPhone — all checked, tidy, no messy cables.
Logistics part — route
11. Pickup address verification
I don't "just type it into Google and go". I check whether the address exists, whether there is any obstruction (city event, roadworks, entry ban), and where exactly to stand — at the main entrance, from the parking lot or from a side street.
12. Basic and alternative route
Always two. In Poznań, especially around the center, the Old Market Square and the Ławica area — traffic can surprise you within 10 minutes.
13. Flight check (for airport transfers)
Flightradar24 or FlightAware — not the departures board. I track the plane from the moment it takes off, not from its scheduled arrival. I catch flights with short delays 40 minutes in advance.
14. Phone — charged, silent mode
100% battery. Customer number saved. Silent mode with vibration on — no phone call from another person will disturb you while driving.
Why is it important?
The ride, which lasts 40 minutes, starts 30 minutes earlier. The customer doesn't see it — and that's the point.
